Happy Birthday Muffin!

Happy Wednesday Blog World!

While today might seem like your ordinary Wednesday...to me it is my sweet Muffin's 30th birthday and is therefore a National Holiday! To celebrate, we are in Mexico (hopefully with margarita in hand) as you are reading this.  I hope to be relaxing and toasting what an amazing guy he is.

For those who don't know, I met Daniel when I was 16 and fell in love with him instantly.  It took me some time to convince him that he was in love with me too (he's a little stubborn sometimes), but he eventually realized that he did in fact think I was kinda cute (I can feel his eyes rolling at me saying this) and that we were made for each other.  We  finally started dating when I was 17 and have loved each other ever since.

We've been through lots of important birthdays together, but for some reason this one just feels so much more momentous than the rest.  In the past 11 years we've shared joy and tragedy.  We've built a home and made memories.  We are finally settled and are entering the next decade of our lives.  It feels so special (and important) to celebrate this amazing guy who has been by my side through a huge portion of my life!

Daniel is the most hardworking, kind, loving human I have ever known.  If he sets a goal, he achieves it (trust me...I told you earlier he was stubborn).   His loyalty and friendship are truly unmatched.  He is tenderhearted and loves animals even more than I do (he once tried to save a baby bird's life).  Daniel gets into holidays and festivity just as much as I do, clearly making him perfect for me.  Daniel loves adventure, and makes sure that I'm always trying something that scares me and puts me out of my comfort zone.

To quote one of my favorite songs, sweet Muffin..."I love you, I love you, and all of you pieces" Happy 30th Daniel!

A BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: Farm to Fete is Growing!

I have been very quiet here in cyberspace lately, but don't let that fool you! A LOT has been happening here at Farm to Fête behind the scenes.  Thank you for your patience with any blog outages, multiple Facebook postings, and general IT craziness.  It has all been in preparation to share some exciting news with all of you.

First, the blog:  This blog began as a way to document the creation of our new home, but became so much more to me.  It is a place to celebrate life in general and I have been working hard to expand the blog, creating recipes and projects that I hope my readers like.  I always love feedback and hope you will share your thoughts and opinions with me regularly so that I can keep Farm to Fête's blog something you love to read.

Second,  my Etsy shop: My Etsy shop has been one of the most creatively rewarding journeys I've ever started.  I love working with each and every one of my customers and sometimes stay up until crazy hours designing things just because "I have to get them out of my head."  I've started to draw most of my own graphics and am offering professional printing for those who are interested.  I hope to continue to grow the shop with more party essentials in the coming months and, again, would love your feedback during this process.

Third, wedding and event planning: As most of my blog readers know, I work as an Event Planner for a local University.  In the past year, I've begun to take on clients, working as a wedding and event planner, outside of my time at the University.  I've absolutely fallen in love with this type of event work, and feel so privileged to get to be part of the special moments in my clients' lives.  To learn more about hiring me or just to take a peek and see what all the fuss is about...head on over to events.farmtofete.com!

My main domain, www.farmtofete.com, is now a splash page that will provide aspect to all three areas of Farm to Fête.  To access the blog, you will now go to blog.farmtofete.com.  If you follow me on bloglovin', are one of my email subscribers, etc.  don't worry, I've got you covered and have already taken care of the transition to make this smooth as buttah!  Nothing will change and you will have the same posts in your feed as normal.

This is a lot of change for someone who admittedly hates change and is quite frankly a little nervous.  I am, however, excited about the next steps in my journey with all of you followers and about broadening my horizons to follow my dreams.  I am thankful for a husband who listens to my hours of brainstorming, a family that group texts non-stop about my latest blog ideas, friends who will stop and pose for a "Farm to Fête moment," and followers that are willing to come back each week and read what I have to say!
