Five on Friday

One

If you follow me on instagram, you might have seen that I was in Charleston, SC for work this week.  I always love doing events in the low country of our state.  It is such a beautiful place and the architecture is gorgeous.  Our hotel had a gorgeous little courtyard and I had to snap a picture of it at dusk.  I'm hoping to paint a watercolor of this image very soon!

Two

Speaking of my event, even the venues in Charleston are just simply gorgeous.  There was so little décor that we had to bring in because the courtyard we used was so naturally beautiful.  The kicker for me is that this is a courtyard in an office building.  Can you even imagine that?  I would probably spend my entire day just sitting next to the fountain with my laptop!

As an update to my outdoor living inspiration photo, our wicker sectional is here.  Before I do a post on a "finished product,"  I wanted to get real and show the unglamorous side of putting furniture together.  The end product is great, but there were literally five million pieces and I thought Muffin was going to lose it when the last two pieces didn't fit together juuuust right.  Luckily we had a drill and made it work!  Can't wait to show you all the finished product!

I don't know if you've heard of the app myidol, but I'm kind of addicted.  It makes an avatar from a photo of your face and can make ridiculous videos and photos of you from there.  I have spent waaaay too much time on this app, especially considering that none of the app is in english and my avatar was a man for at least a week!

My sweet puppy girls have been settling into the new house and seem to be liking it.  There were a few weeks when they were getting into everything and acting crazy from the move.  I think they are over the hump and are getting a routine.  They love having space to play (especially compared to our apartment) and are always excited to lay in the sunshine on the deck.  Seeing my sweet little furbabies so happy is one of the best parts of our new house!
