Five on Friday!

It's Friday...so you know what that means!

I'm linking up again with Christina and Karli for Five on Friday!

One

This Friday I'm coming to you live from Disneyland.  Ok so really I'm in Anaheim, CA for a conference, but I did go to Disneyland...by myself!  And it was FUN!

I was feeling a little scared to go to the "happiest place on earth" alone...but my adventurous side won out (thank goodness).  People were so nice--I made tons of friends in the long lines--and I got to do everything at my own pace.

Two

We picked out our Chandelier for the living room and I'm loving it!

It's from Ballard Designs and it is going to look GREAT in our space (we picked the "large" size with 12 bulbs)!  It shipped on Wednesday and I can't wait for it to get here.

Three

While I'm in California, finishing touches are going up for our screen porch.  Thank goodness for Daniel.  He's been keeping me updated and answering all of our builder's questions without me.

The blue beadboard is for the porch ceiling.  I'm loving the distressed look our builder has given it.

Four

Our cabinet samples came in!  I cannot wait to have them here and installed!

Aren't they gorgeous??  The white will be the main kitchen cabinet while the stained sample will be the kitchen island, master bathroom, and wet bar.

It's also helping us finalize selections on things like tile and flooring.

Five

I'm spending all day today (and yesterday) in lectures for the Academic Events Professionals Conference and the nerd in me is SO EXCITED.  I know this relates heavily to post number one...but I felt like it deserved it's own special place.  I love learning and can't wait to get new ideas to bring back to work.

There's nothing better than some professional development with event professionals.  Everything is a production and experience!  I'm jazzed up for a great 2015 at work!

I can't wait to hop on a plane first thing tomorrow morning and get home to see my sweet husband!

I hope you have a great weekend!

  1. I just found your blog through the Farmer's wife, and I am in LOVE! So excited to watch your home projects progress... and LOVE the light. I have found lighting to be one of the hardest things to pick out.

I love the cabinets with the wood look tile flooring, can't wait to see it finished! That looks like a swanky conference you're at, have the best time and a great weekend!

    1. This is my first Disneyland trip. As a South Carolina native, I've only ever been to Disney World before now...I have to say I'm still partial to the Florida park :)
